A “live” silent movie….
Winner of the BEST STREET SHOW prize at the Fira de Teatre al Carrer in Tàrrega, September 2006.
Including falling buildings, hair-raising escapes and slapstick humour, with live piano accompaniment, CLIFFHANGER is a 50 minute production in silent movie style, which takes us to the golden age of the silver screen.
Inspired by Buster Keaton’s short film – “Convict 13” – the production relates the adventures of a lovesick waiter, who naively gets involved in a prison escape. When a prisoner kidnaps the heroine, there follows a series of hairy episodes, like the attempt to rescue his new love.
CLIFFHANGER has been performed before enthusiastic audiences throughout the United Kingdom and in 2007, Bash Street again took the show to Europe, with engagements in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and Italy.
Bash Street productions are truly international, enjoyed by young and old alike, at important festivals throughout the United Kingdom, Europe and the Far East as from 1991.
